Tenant attitudes to smart technology in the home

At Glasgow City Region, we’re working to understand how connected solutions can help to provide social housing tenants with better services.

Some of our solutions may require technology, such as Sensors, Smart Devices and other technologies that capture data, to be put into people’s homes.

We understand that lots of people have different levels of understanding regarding these technologies and will therefore have different views and opinions on them being placed in their homes.

We’ve created a short survey to help us understand these views and opinions, so that we can better communicate what we are trying to achieve and how we hope these technologies will benefit tenants.

The survey is open to anyone in the Glasgow City Region that lives in social housing, regardless of whether the home is provided by a housing association or by the local council. A pdf of the survey is attached so that you can see the contents – please note that the online version is a smart survey - the PDF version is the long version but any participant filling in the live survey won’t be shown irrelevant questions so what they see will be significantly shorter.

All completed surveys will be placed into a prize draw and, once the draw closes in Spring 2025, one person will be the lucky winner for £100 of shopping vouchers!

To take part in the survey, you can either scan the QR code below or click on the link.
