Adaptations to your home

We are committed to helping our tenants live independently and remain in their homes where possible. Each year, we set aside a budget for property adaptations designed to make homes safer, more accessible and better suited to individual needs.

Adaptations can range from minor works, such as grab rails and handrails, to larger adaptations including level-access showers, shower trays, wet floor showers and external access ramps. These improvements can help tenants maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.

Before an adaptation can be approved and installed, an assessment is normally required to identify the most appropriate solution for your needs. This assessment is usually carried out by an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Social Worker.
