Energy Efficiency
We have a responsibility to maintain our homes to a good standard and to consider opportunities to improve their energy efficiency. Energy-efficient homes can help reduce energy use, lower heating costs and provide a warmer and more comfortable living environment for our tenants.
As a Registered Social Landlord in Scotland, we currently monitor the energy performance of our homes through Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs).
The Scottish Government is currently developing the Social Housing Net Zero Standard (SHNZS), which will set out future requirements for social landlords in relation to energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions from homes. We are awaiting further guidance from the Scottish Government on the final standard, including how and when it will be implemented.
Once this guidance is available, we will review the requirements and consider how they apply to our housing stock and future investment plans.
